Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 11, 2026

NeonGekko respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit neongekko.com, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using this website, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

This Policy should be read together with our Disclaimer, which explains our affiliate relationships, sponsored content, and editorial policies.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us:

  • Contact and newsletter: your name and email address if you contact us or subscribe to our newsletter.
  • Comments: your name, email address, website (optional), and the content of your comment.
  • Giveaways and promotions: the information requested in the official rules, such as name, email address, and, for winners, a shipping address.
  • Communications: the content of any message you send us.

Information collected automatically:

  • Device and browser type, operating system, and screen resolution.
  • IP address and approximate location (city or region level).
  • Pages viewed, links clicked, referring website, date and time of visit, and time spent on pages.
  • Cookie identifiers and similar technologies, see Section 4.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or health information. We do not process purchases or any type of commercial or social transactions on this Site.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use information to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and our content.
  • Understand which reviews and topics are most useful to readers.
  • Send newsletters and updates you have asked for.
  • Respond to your questions and requests.
  • Run giveaways and notify winners.
  • Show advertising and measure its performance.
  • Track affiliate referrals and attribute commissions.
  • Detect spam, fraud, and security threats, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Affiliate Links and Third-Party Retailers

Neongekko.com participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you click an Amazon affiliate link on our Site, you are sent to Amazon.com. Amazon and its tools may place cookies in your browser to record the referral so that we can earn a commission on qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you.

  • We do not receive your Amazon account details, payment information, or purchase history. Amazon may give us aggregated or limited order reports for commission purposes that do not identify you personally.
  • Once you leave our Site, Amazon’s Privacy Notice applies to your data, not this Policy.
  • If we join other affiliate programs or retail partners, the same principles apply, and we will update this Policy as needed.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We and our partners use them to:

  • Make the Site work (essential cookies, such as security and preferences).
  • Analyze traffic (for example, [Google Analytics or your analytics provider]).
  • Track affiliate referrals (for example, Amazon Associates).
  • Serve and measure advertising, if we display ads (for example, [Google AdSense, Mediavine, Raptive, or other ad network]).
  • Support embedded content, such as YouTube videos or social media posts, which may set their own cookies.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works, and may prevent affiliate referrals from being tracked. Where required, we will ask for your consent through a cookie banner.

5. Advertising, Sponsored Content, and Promotions

  • Advertising: We may work with advertising networks that use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your browsing activity over time and across websites (“interest-based” or “targeted” advertising). Opt-out options are in Section 8.
  • Sponsored posts and partnerships: Sponsored content is always labeled. Brands that sponsor content may receive aggregated information about performance, such as page views and clicks. We do not give brands your personal information unless you request it, for example by entering a brand-run giveaway.
  • Giveaways and promotions: When a giveaway is run with a brand partner, the official rules will say who receives entrant information and how it will be used. Winners’ shipping details may be shared with the brand or fulfillment partner solely to deliver the prize.
  • Discount codes and deals: Retailers or brands may track the use of codes or links to attribute sales and commissions.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information with:

  • Service providers that help us run the Site (hosting, analytics, email delivery, security, comment management, and giveaway tools), who may use it only to provide services to us.
  • Advertising and affiliate partners, as described above.
  • Sponsors or promotional partners, only as disclosed in the applicable giveaway or promotion rules.
  • Legal and safety recipients, when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
  • Successors, if we merge, sell, or transfer the Site or its assets. We will notify you of any resulting change in how your data is handled.

Some sharing of cookie-based data with advertising and analytics partners may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under certain state privacy laws. See Section 8 for your choices.

7. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Everyone:

  • Manage cookies in your browser or through our cookie banner, if available.
  • Opt out of interest-based ads through the Digital Advertising Alliance, the Network Advertising Initiative, or Google’s Ads Settings.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC) / Do Not Track: Where required by law, we honor the GPC signal as a request to opt out of sale or sharing. Because there is no uniform standard, we may not respond to other “Do Not Track” signals.

State privacy rights:

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have the right to:

  • Know / access the personal information we have collected about them.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete their personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and of targeted advertising or profiling.
  • Receive equal service and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
  • Appeal a denial of a request, where the law provides it.

To exercise a right, email us at [your-email@yourdomain.com] with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will reply within the time required by law (generally 45 days). You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, but we may ask for proof of authorization.

California notice (CCPA/CPRA): In the past 12 months, we may have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (such as IP address and email), internet or network activity (such as browsing data), and approximate geolocation. We collect them from you and from your devices, and we use them for the purposes in Section 2. Cookie-based identifiers and activity data may be shared with analytics and advertising partners, which may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. Under California’s “Shine the Light” law, California residents may ask for information about disclosures to third parties for their direct marketing. We do not make such disclosures.

8. Children’s Privacy

We cover toys, LEGO, and games, but the Site is written for adults, such as parents, gift-givers, and collectors, and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy, to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations, and to resolve disputes. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Comments are kept until deleted. Analytics data is generally kept in aggregated or anonymized form.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information, such as encryption (HTTPS) and access controls. However, no website or internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security and privacy.

11. Third-Party Websites and Embedded Content

The Site links to third-party websites, including Amazon.com, manufacturers, social media platforms, and video platforms. Their privacy practices are their own, and we are not responsible for them. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before sharing personal information.

12. International Visitors

The Site is operated in and intended for users in the United States. If you visit from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those of your country.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest revision. If we make material changes, we will post a notice on the Site or email subscribers where appropriate. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
